A North York man has been charged with impaired operation after his driving behaviour caught the eye of a Southern Georgian Bay OPP officer on New Year’s Eve.
The officer saw a Cadillac being driven Sunday on County Road 93 in Midland, heading toward Wyebridge. The vehicle was pulled over in Wyebridge.
Victor Chichkan, 38, was charged with operation while impaired (alcohol and drugs) and failure or refusal to comply with a demand. He was released from custody and has a Jan. 18 court date. He also faces a 90-day driver’s licence suspension, and the vehicle is being impounded for seven days.
