It is with heavy hearts the family of Paul Yelland announces his sudden passing on October 23, 2017 during a hunting trip with friends at Beaver Lake near the Town of Matachewan. Paul was predeceased by his father Jack Yelland. He is sadly missed by his mother June (nee Crawford), younger sister Deborah, and companion Heather Southorn. Paul will be fondly remembered as an avid hunter, fisherman and full time nature enthusiast.
The family is grateful for those who continued to search for Paul up until he was located on June 4, 2021, and wishes to thank the Kirkland Lake OPP, South Porcupine Search and Rescue, friends and volunteers. A private graveside service was held at Lakeview Cemetery on Tuesday, July 6th. If desired, memorial donations to the Ontario Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated.
