Rejeanne Marchildon Robitaille Yates passed peacefully with her family by her side on June 5, 2021 at the age of 76. She is survived by her loving husband of 43 years Ronald P Yates, their 5 children Gisele, Henri, Darryl, Micheal and Steven. She was loved by her 9 grandchildren; Jessie, Jake, Zack, Carly, Willem, Laurel, Susan, Jessica and Macrae.

Daughter of Edward and Adele Robitaille. She is survived by her siblings; Louis, Fernand, Donat, Romeo and Patsy. Being with Rejeanne, no matter who you were, she made you feel like you were home, warm, safe and loved. She carried this quality in everything she did, whether she was sewing Christmas pyjamas for every single grandchild and of course some of their friends. She kept scraps of fabric here and there for years so she could surprise you with the most epic personalized quilt which she made for every single child, grand child and so many more people. She sewed these works of art with love. She spent countless hours baking and spending time with all of us.

She was heard saying about her family “you just love them so much”. She made relationships with our spouses and our friends very special. She loved all of us and we knew it. Everything about her gave you the warm fuzzies (which appropriately was also her favourite fabric). Memere lived a full life, worked hard and spent many years travelling from coast to coast with her husband Ron. She truly found her soulmate and her spirit mate which we were truly grateful for. I could keep going as there aren’t enough words to describe this very special woman but I will end it with a quote from one of her grandchildren that I know we all felt.

She is the most loving person I’ve ever met and it is very motivating and inspiring to see how much gratitude and love that she has expressed the last few times I saw her. I think her peace is well deserved. She inspires me to be a more loving, kind and grateful person which I cannot thank her for enough. Mom loved angels and is now among them. In her book about angels she underlined “when you feel frightened, sad, or lonely we angels are even closer to you. Spiritually speaking, you are never alone”

A private family visitation was held at the Penetanguishene Funeral Home followed by a graveside service at Ste. Croix Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to the RVH Foundation-Cancer Centre would be greatly appreciated.
