Passed away on Saturday April 23, 2022 at his home in Victoria Harbour at the age of 76 years. Beloved son of the late Lawrence and Irene (nee Granger) Tremblay and stepmother Rosina Tremblay (nee White), all predeceased. Also predeceased by his loving wife Rachel Bogardis (nee Weiler) with whom he enjoyed shared retirement years, by his son John, and by his brother Carl and sister Jacqueline ‘Jackie’ (Jack) Charlebois. He leaves behind his stepbrothers Lenord ‘Lenny’ (Ene-Mai) and Lorne Fortune, his daughter Shelley Martineau, and stepchildren Robert Lawson (Rose), Denis Martel (Marie-Lynne), Jennifer Martel, Pierre Martel, Randy Martel (Kathleen), as well as 16 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.
Larry will be fondly remembered for his good nature, his passion for singing, his joy of learning, his hunting and fishing tales, as well as for his deep attentiveness that made everyone around him feel special and appreciated. He surrounded himself with great friends in the Huronia Harmonizers, the Barbershop Chorus, his hunting partners Robert and Paul Sararas, and Tony Soikie, and in his extended families at Ebenezer United and Vasey Unity churches, among many others. He will be sadly missed.
Visitation will be held at the Nicholls Funeral Home, 330 Midland Avenue, Midland, on Monday, May 2nd at 10 a.m. followed by a chapel service at 11 a.m. and interment at the Vasey Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Ebenezer Church rebuilding project would be appreciated (arrangements entrusted to the Nicholls Funeral Home).
