It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Norman St. Amant on Monday, January 8th, 2024 in his 84th year. He was the loving husband of 64 years to Marjorie and beloved father to Rodney (Lori), Vicky (Chris Chapman) and Kevin (Judy). He will be sadly missed by his grandchildren, Brad Chapman, Tasha Chapman (Chris Schuenemann), Ryan Bourassa (Melissa), Tyler St. Amant, Tori St. Amant and predeceased by Christa and Jason Bourgeois. Norm will be fondly remembered by his siblings, Beatrice (Gord), and Roger. Predeceased by his parents Norman and Mary and his siblings Marie (Alfred), Christine (Jim), Bernice (Gus) and Clifford.
Norm was born and raised in Midland where in 1972 he started Norm St. Amant Aluminum and it is still in business today. Norm enjoyed nothing more than spending time with his family, singing and playing guitar, fishing, hunting, boating and spending time at the cottage.
The family would like to thank Dr. Julie Caron, Community Paramedic Home Visit Program team and Bayshore Home Health nurses and personal support workers who all provided him with exceptional care over the past several months that allowed him to remain at home where he passed peacefully sitting in his favourite chair.
Cremation has taken place. If desired, memorial donations to the Heart & Stroke Foundation or the Canadian Diabetes Association would be appreciated by the family and will be accepted by the Leclair Cremation Centre, 565 King Street, Midland 705-527-8955.
