Charles passed away peacefully surrounded by his family in his 98th year at GBGH. Beloved husband of 73 years to Wanda Spiker. Loving father of Karen and James (Lin). Proud grandfather of Chris (Rachelle), Ryan (Meredith) and Nicole. Great grandfather of Olin and Indie.
A veteran of WWII, Charlie would go on to travel the world with Wanda by his side. He was a hard-working man with great life advice. Charlie was an inspiration to anyone lucky enough to meet him. He will be remembered and cherished for the superior man he was.
The family would like to thank the staff of the Hummingbird Wing at The Villa Care Centre and GBGH staff in the ER, 2E and 1N for their first-class patient care. In keeping with Charlie’s wishes, a private family gathering has already taken place.
