It is with heavy hearts we announce the sudden passing of Muriel Harbottle on Sunday April 7, 2024, at Georgian Bay General Hospital, surrounded by her family at the age of 89 years.  She was predeceased by her husband Ronald Alexander Harbottle, married for 69 years.  Cherished mother of Paul (Sharon), Graeme (Nicole) and Andrea (Pierre).  Proud Nan of Christopher, Jordan, Brittany, Travis and Ryan.

Muriel was born and raised in England she then met her lifelong partner, Ronald.  Once they were married, Muriel and Ronald moved to Canada to start a new chapter of their life.  Once they arrived in Canada, they moved around to different cities to find the perfect spot to raise a family in Midland, Ontario.

Muriel was an active member of Midland Hiking Group, the Balm Beach Seniors Club and the Askennonia Senior Centre for many years.  Her involvement with the Midland Hiking Group, Balm Beach Seniors Club and the Askennonia Senior Centre highlights her participation in the community and her commitment and passion to staying engaged and connected with others.  She dedicated every Wednesday and Saturdays to these groups.  Muriel’s day was spent biking, canoeing, camping, and walking, finding joy in the simple pleasures of life.

Muriel is now reunited with the love of her life Ronald Alexander Harbottle, they will be dancing up a storm together.
