Peacefully passed away on June 13th, 2023 at Georgian Bay General Hospital at the age of 82 years.
Gord was a beloved husband and best friend to Barb Smith, together for 43 years. He was a loving father to John, Jason, Jeffery and Janis. He was a proud grandfather to Willow (Matt), Evan (Mariah), Ashleigh and Chloe (James) and a great grandfather to Caleb, Carter, Gabriel and Lochlan. He was predeceased by his parents Mildred (Millie) and Gordon. We wanted to thank the wonderful staff at Georgian Bay General Hospital (2 East and the Emergency Department) for taking such great care of him during his final days.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Georgian Bay General Hospital. Cremation will be taking place, and a private family ceremony will be held as well. Arrangements are entrusted to the Penetanguishene Funeral Home.
