Dad, brother, uncle, friend. Lloyd passed quickly and unexpectedly, at home, on Saturday morning. He will be sorely missed by his daughter, Karen Scott, and by his sisters Heather (with Brian Brady, and nephews Paul and Kent, and families) and Bonnie (with Charles Gervais, and nephews Charles Jr, Gibson, and Chetley and families), and by his in-laws Barbara Casson and Pierre Robin and their family.

He was married to Sandra Casson and while they eventually separated, they remained friends until she died in 2017. Lloyd was a teacher for 30 years, in Barrie, Scarborough, and Northern Saskatchewan. He retired back to where he started, in Midland, Ontario. Lloyd loved to garden, growing vegetables (lots of potatoes!, and apples in his orchard). He enjoyed building projects and he always loved learning and sharing. He loved hockey and sharing a laugh with friends. No one escaped without a joke or 2.

Above all, he enjoyed spending time with his daughter, of whom he was very proud. A private visitation will be held followed by a funeral service. Lloyd will be laid to rest at the Minesing Union Cemetery.

To watch the visitation and the funeral online, please click the link below starting at 9 a.m. on May 5, 2021.

There will be a memorial service when there is an opportunity for us all to gather and enjoy a true celebration of his life. In lieu of flowers, the family welcomes donations to Garden Ontario, or to a charity of your choice. Memorial condolences may be made at www.nichollsfuneral.ca
