It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Lisa Marie Parent. Lisa passed away surrounded by her family at Royal Victoria Hospital in Barrie on Sunday, February 4, 2024, on her 55th birthday.
Lisa was a loving wife, partner and best friend to her husband of 25 years, Steven Parent. The most devoted mother to her two daughters, Marissa and Kaylan (and fur baby Miley). Precious daughter to her parents Donna & Scott Moore, and parents-in-law, Janice & Jerry Parent. Treasured granddaughter of the late Doris & Robert Moore and Ruth & Cecil Filman. The best big sister to Kim (Geoff) and Christina. Loyal and loving sister-in-law to Nicole (Matt). Cherished aunt to Rileigh (Jason), Darcy, Amy, Kate, Ava, Madison and Ayden. Beloved niece and cousin to all of her aunts, uncles and cousins near and far. Dearest friend to so many. Lisa had a heart of gold and her kindness was felt by everyone who knew her.
Lisa grew up in Newmarket, Ontario and moved to the Midland area after meeting her soulmate, Steve. She was a loyal and dedicated employee at TD Canada Trust for 35 years and will be dearly missed by her loving work family and valued clients.
Lisa loved traveling to sunny destinations with her family, spending time at the beach in her own backyard of Tiny Township, cottaging, quality time with her whole family and watching her beautiful daughters grow into the amazing young women they are today - their close and special bond will live on in all of the happy memories they shared together.
Lisa’s positive outlook and bravery never wavered during her 16 month battle with cancer. In lieu of flowers, donations to Colorectal Cancer society
or The Ontario SPCA can be made in her memory.
A celebration of Lisa’s life will be held on June 22, 2024, 2:00 pm at the family home.
