Florence earned her wings after an amazing 102 years and a life well lived. Surrounded by her loving family, Florence passed peacefully on Saturday, June 24, 2023.
Florence was born on June 10th, 1921, to parents Charles and Margaret Doyle. She grew up in Midland with her brothers Edwin and Walter and her beloved sister Doretta. Her first husband James Yelland was lost during World War II. She married Elwood Marcellus (1987) in 1946, enjoying over 40 years of marriage together and two children: Dianne and Robert.
Florence spent her early retirement traveling the world with her closest friends and family, was an active member of Midland’s Cavalry Baptist church and a dedicated fan of the Toronto Maple Leafs. She was a proud grandmother to Todd, Jason and Gavin Reynolds, Pam Davy-Chevrette, Melissa Reynolds and Zain Ladha and great-grandmother to Emma, Spencer, Olivia, and Cooper Reynolds.
There will be a true Celebration of Life in the coming weeks. Donations to Calvary Baptist Church or the charity of your choice would be appreciated.
