LeCornu "Lee" MacDonald peacefully passed away with her family at her side on Tuesday May 16th at Hillcrest Village Care Centre in her 98th year. Predeceased by beloved husband Gerald "Jerry" MacDonald. Dear Mother of Brenda (Ken) Hicks of Midland and Kenneth (Marlaine) MacDonald of Parry Sound. Loving Grandmother of Deborah (David) Otenbaker, Gregory (Carmen) Hicks, Kyle (Melissa) MacDonald, and Ryan MacDonald. Cherished Great-Grandmother of Meghan, Matthew, Michael, Mason, Marcus, Hannah, Kolten, and Jameson. Lee is predeceased by her parents George and Gladys Gillingham, and her sisters Elouise and Yvonne.
Funeral arrangements entrusted to Nicholl's Funeral Home. Memorial visitation will take place on Tuesday May 23 from 10am - 11am at the First Presbyterian Church (20 Robert St. E, Penetanguishene, ON.) A service will follow starting at 11am. All guests are welcome to a lunch reception following the service at the church. A private family interment will take place at a later time.
Lee's final 14 years were spent at Bayfield Home Retirement Lodge and Hillcrest Village Care Centre, Harbor Suites. The family wants to thank the caregivers for their love and support. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Society of Canada or a charity of your choice.
