June 15, 1932 ~ July 7, 2021 (age 89)
On July 7, 2021 Phyllis died peacefully in Penetang after a lengthy illness.
With support from loving family and closest of friends Linda, Louise and Lin she died as she lived, on her own terms. She wished to die with her moral compass and dignity intact. Phyllis' enjoyment of the cottage on Georgian Bay meant that it transitioned to her home in retirement, with decades of long lake views over Sawlog Bay. She will be fondly remembered for her love of animals, wry sense of humor, and passion for all things Cuban. She was an avid reader, going beyond the pages to research and even visit the places to bring them to life. Phyllis was stepmother of four, grandmother of six and great grandmother of two. Phyllis was predeceased in 2009 by her loving partner of many years, Jack Woods. She will be missed. Hasta siempre.
