February 6, 1930 ~ June 20, 2021 (age 91)
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Theresa Laurin (née Patenaude) who passed away on June 20, 2021 at Georgian Bay District Hospital in Midland, at the age of 91. She was predeceased by her parents Roy Patenaude and Delia Vallée. Theresa was born in Penetanguishene on February 6, 1930. She was predeceased on December 23, 2013, by her beloved husband, Maurice Laurin, who she married on August 7, 1952 in Penetanguishene.
Theresa was the kindest and gentlest of people who was devoted to her family. Theresa will be greatly missed by her five children and their spouses, Michelle, Robert (Geneviève), Deborah, Timothy (Gerry) and Brent (Jessica). She is lovingly remembered by her six grandchildren, Richard (Eunah), Emma (Stephen), David, Sebastien, Peter and Ruby and two step grandchildren Maya and Monica. Theresa was predeceased by all of her siblings and their spouses: Helene Newton (Gene), Marie Busch (Jack), Hubert (Gloria), and Peggy Bush (Stan). She will also be fondly remembered by all her extended family and friends.
Due to Covid-19 restrictions, there will be no service at this time. A private family gathering will take place followed later by internment at St. Ann’s Cemetery in Penetanguishene. In lieu of flowers, please take a special loved one to dinner and share memories of Theresa or donate to the charity of your choice.
