With heavy hearts we announce the peaceful passing of Rita Lalonde on Sunday, May 21, 2023 in her 90th year surrounded by her family at Georgian Bay General Hospital, Midland.
Beloved wife of the late Montcalm, of 57 years. She will be greatly missed by her children Lisa (Detlef Janssen), Paula Laurin, Peter (Laurie), Greg (Jessica), and Anthony (Sandy). Cherished grandmother of Nick, Camille, Jacob, Brett, Kayleigh, Taylor, Nathan, Saurin, Luke, Cameron and Natalie. She will be greatly missed by her sister Roseanne Lidstone. Rita will also be missed by her many nieces, nephews, family and friends.
Friends will be received at the Penetanguishene Funeral Home, 155 Main St., Penetanguishene, on Monday, May 29, 2023 from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. and from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. In keeping with Rita’s faith, a Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Margaret’s Roman Catholic Church on Tuesday, May 30, 2023 at 2:00p.m.
