July 2, 1923 ~ May 7, 2021 (age 97)
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Lawrence Edwin La Rose on Friday, May 7th, 2021 at Soldiers’ Memorial Hospital in his 98th year. Beloved husband of 78 years to June La Rose (nee Pimm). Loving father to Keith La Rose (Jan) and Lynne La Rose (Norm Clarke). Cherished grandfather to Jake, Jess and Griffin. Great-grandfather to Sevrin, Fergus and Maverick. Dear brother to Doug La Rose (the late Shirley), the late Margery Boyd (the late Al), the late Albert La Rose (the late Joan) and Gwen Pearson (Keith).
The family wishes to thank the CarePartners PSWs, the Bayshore nurses, especially nurse Oskana who has a special place in their hearts, and the staff at the Waterford Retirement Home. Lawrence was extremely proud to be a Veteran, having served his country in WWII from 1942-46. He is greatly missed and lovingly remembered. Cremation has taken place. Memorial donations may be made to The Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 147 or to the Legion in your community.
