September 9, 1931 ~ July 17, 2021 (age 89)
Jean, 89, of Kearney, passed away peacefully, surrounded by the love of her family on July 17, 2021 at the Georgian Manor in Penetanguishene, Ontario. She is predeceased by her loving husband, Doug, who she was happily married to for 66 years.
She will be dearly missed by her children: Jill Marion (Paul), Tim Huffman and Pat Huffman. She was a loving grandmother to: Angie Marion, Lee Marion (Dharini), Elissa Dalziel (Ryan), Jesse Huffman (Rachelle) and Rhea Huffman (Lance). Adored by her great grandchildren: Owen, Damon, Abigail, Anderson, Archer, Ethan, Everett, Evan and Edison.
Cherished by Diane Shaw (John) who was like a daughter to her and Doug. Above all else, Jean put family first. An incredible sister, sister-in-law and aunt, she welcomed everyone to her home with open arms.
Jean was the life of the party and will always be remembered for her infectious laugh and sense of humour. She was dedicated to her community, her church and global human rights. In lieu of flowers, donations to Unicef would be appreciated.
There will be an outdoor graveside service at Knox Cemetery in Kearney on Saturday, July 24, 2021 at 2pm. Stage 3 covid protocols will be followed.
