With sadness we announce the passing of Catherine (Cathy) Beatrice Grayston (Nee Woods/formerly Turner) on August 2, 2023 at the age of 71 at Hospice Huronia after a very short battle with Pancreatic Cancer.
Our Mom is predeceased by her parents Bruce & Beatrice Woods (nee Maheu). She was the loving mother of daughter Sheri Turner (Dave Morris) and Randy Turner. She was Nana to Abbey Morrison. Cathy is survived by her siblings Doug (Monique) Woods, Francis (Bonnie) Woods, Sharon (Richard -deceased) Beauchamp, Patricia (Robert) Millett, Maureen (John) Faraghar, Jerry (Krista) Woods. Aunt to Cindy (Terry) Parliament, Christopher (Tammy) Woods, Vickie (Beau) Scott, Angela (Chris) Puddicombe, Cheryl (Glen) Weatherall, Paul (Amy) Beauchamp, Lisa Beauchamp, Steven Millett, Geoffry (Pasquel) Millett, Whitney (Andre) Sanche, Joceyln (Dave) Archer, Bennett Woods, Keaton Woods, Dawson Woods and Calum Woods. As well as 19 Great Nieces & Nephews and 2 great-great nephews.
Fondly remembered by life long friends, Bonnie Lalonde, Cathy Hartley & Rollande Quesnelle. She spent many years wintering in Texas and is fondly remembered by her friends at Lakewood RV Resort. Cathy was a proud Metis citizen and will be missed by the local Georgian Bay Metis Community (Region 7).
Cathy’s Celebration of Life will be held Saturday August 19, 2023 from 1-4pm at The Place 300 Balm Beach Rd. W. Tiny Township. If desired,donations to Huronia Hospice, Penetanguishene.
