Paula Christine Grant, age 58, passed away peacefully in her home in Tiny, Ontario, on December 16th, 2023.
Paula was born on April 7th, 1965, in Midland, Ontario, to Frances Cleaver (then Grant) and William V. Grant. Known in the community for her work at Mountainview Nurseries, Paula could be found in the greenhouse laughing with customers, hard at work, or serenely tending to plants. Outside of work, she enjoyed listening to music, cooking, staying active outdoors, and spending time with her kids. Paula will be remembered for her infectious laugh, gentle disposition, kind heart, and most importantly, her tenacity.
Paula is survived by her spouse, David Desroches; her children, Jordan Maurice and Sabrina Tompkins (Michael); her granddaughter, Helena Maurice; her mother, Frances Cleaver (Howard); her siblings, William “Billy” Grant, James “Jamie” Grant (Wendy), Susan Kuchar (Michael), and Michelle Grant-Hunt; her former spouse, Pierre Maurice; and many other loving family members.
Paula is preceded in death by her father, William V. Grant; her sister, Laurie Grant; and her nephews, Shawn Salisbury and Jesse Grant.
As per her wishes, there will be no public service.
