It is with profound sadness and a deep sense of loss that we announce the passing of our loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother Jeanette Garraway (nee Hamelin) who passed away peacefully at home with family by her side in her 94th year on Saturday, February 26, 2022. Loving wife of the late Wilkie Garraway. Cherished mom to John, Bob (Barb), Peter (Marie), Sharon Garraway, Linda Laurin (David), and Mary Irvine (Tom). Granny to 13 grandchildren and 14 Great-grandchildren. Sister to Anne Boyd (late Don), Henry Hamelin (Bernice), and sister-in-law to Isabel Garraway (late Reg). Predeceased by her parents Henry and Anna Hamelin, and her siblings Jean, Bernard, Bob, Rosemary, Teresa, and Paul.
The family would like to thank Dr. Greg Gaffney for his excellent care and John from Bayshore Nursing. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Hospice Huronia or the GBGH Foundation. Cremation has taken place and a graveside service will be held at St. Ann’s Cemetery at a later date. Arrangements entrusted to Penetanguishene Funeral Home.
