It is with profound sadness, that we announce the passing of Norbert Marcel Joseph Duquette in his 72nd year.
He passed away very peacefully on Friday June 9th 2023 at Tomkins House (Hospice) in Penetanguishene, with his wife, children, grandchildren and all his sisters and brothers by his bedside. Norbert lost his battle with Cirrhosis of the liver he fought very hard and courageously for many years. But he never gave up on his belief in Jehovah God, Norbert’s spirit was never broken his faith kept him going through many, many hard times, when most people would have given up.
He loved his children and family and his life. Norbert leaves behind his wife of 47 years Jane, His children Scott (Kailey), April (Jan), grandchildren Sarah (Pierre), Ashley, Tyler (Nicole), Logan (Lilly), Liam, great-grandchildren David, Marcus, Remington, Finn, Aura, Riley, his sisters and brothers Rena, Patsy (Frank), Paul, Yvette (Luigi), Fred (Sue), Janet (Jim). Preceded by his parents Marcel and Violet Duquette, Sister Marie, Brothers Robert (Lorna), Michael. He also leaves behind many nieces and nephews, uncles, aunts, cousins, and great nieces and nephews as well as a tremendous amount of friends.
Many thanks to al the nurses and Dr. Cameron at Tomkins House (Hospice) for all their compassion and care for Norbert and his wife Jane. Many Thanks also to Dr. Gurndmanis for the many years of your understanding and care for Norbert and To Jennifer the Bayshore nurse who took care of Norbert at home.
Cremation has taken place. There will be a service at the kingdom hall at a later date. A celebration of Life will also be taking place at a later date.
All donations can be made to The Tomkins House (Hospice) Penetanguishene in honour of Norbert would be greatly appreciated.
