Some of you may recognize Eileen from her waitressing days at several local restaurants: the Olympia, Blue Sky, Highland and Midland Fish and Chip. She retired from waitressing in 2003. Eileen always made us laugh with her humorous disposition. She was happy and fun to be around. She enjoyed helping people and continued to do this after retirement by assisting with errands of elderly neighbours and friends. Eileen was a very hard worker. She ended her career days the same way she started it, housekeeping. The early onset of Alzheimer’s forced her to stop. Eileen had a love for garage sales, deals and knick-knacks. This was an activity she started at a young age with her Mother and passed it on to her daughter. She lived the last thirteen years with her daughter Darlene, who cared for her until her condition worsened. In September 2022 she moved to Hillcrest Village, where she passed.

Cremation has been taken place. A private interment of cremated remains will take place at Perkinsfield cemetery in July. Celebration of life to also be held in July. Dates to be announced. If desired, memorial donation may be made to the Alzheimer’s society and will be received by Carson Funeral Homes – JH Lynn Chapel 290 First Street Midland (705)526-6551.
