Mom’s bedroom is empty as is our heart. Mom has gone to meet her Saviour Jesus. Audrey passed away on February 2nd, 2023 at the age of 95 in our home in Moonstone.
She is now reunited with her husband Edward and her son Neil (Catharina). Incredible mom to Sherry (Rick). Loving grandmother of Shanell (Andy), Angela, Jason (Lygia), Tim, Shara, and Heather. Great Grandmother to Mercedes (Matt), Paige (Jeremy), Trent, Timaya, Kyla, Trinity, Josiah, Winter, Summer, William, Leyland, and Fallon. Great-great-grandmother to Bodhi, Poppy, and Baby Weston to come. Predeceased by her siblings Vera and Leslie. Audrey will be sadly missed by many nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.
Audrey was the ultimate mom, grandma, and friend. Her happy place was loving, nurturing, and entertaining children. There was a constant parade of children through her home, and on summer days, everyone would be packed up to go to the beach with a big picnic basket while Ed waited patiently in the car for hours with a Tim’s. Audrey taught all the family children as well as many others to swim as she was an avid swimmer and won numerous trophies in competitions. Audrey was an introvert but would put herself out there to help or nurture anyone in need. Between Audrey and her husband Eddie, they left a legacy of kindness and compassion that we could all aspire to.
The family would like to thank Kimberly (PSW), Trudy, and Dr. Stokreff for all their care and compassion. Arrangements entrusted to the Nicholls Funeral Home, Midland. In Audrey’s memory donations can be made to the Salvation Army. Cremation has taken place and a Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
