Jacob passed away after a lengthy illness at the Royal Victoria Hospital, Barrie, Ontario on Sunday, May 19th, 2024, at 30 years of age.

Jacob will be greatly missed by his parents Kevin Denis and Anne-Marie Laliberté-Denis of Tiny, Ontario and his older brother Scott Denis (Jess) of Barrie, Ontario.

Deeply loved grandson of Joseph and Shirley (ne Doucette) Denis of Midland, Ontario and Aimé and Edna (ne Restoule) Laliberté of Sturgeon Falls, Ontario.

Dear nephew of Catherine (Tom) Flynn, Dale (Lisa) and Kelly (Eric) Kussen. He is also survived by his cousins, great aunts, great uncles and great cousins as well as many close friends.

Jacob was very talented. In his youth he won many awards at the Y’s Men’s Music Festivals for guitar, piano and vocal competitions and for skateboarding. In high school he excelled and won awards for track and field running and pole vaulting.

He studied fitness at Fanshawe College in London, Ontario and bodybuilding became his passion. He won the 2017 Festival City Championship for Best Overall Men’s Physique and took First Place for Men’s Physique Medium in Stratford Ontario. He was photographed in “Muscle Insider” Body Building Magazine February/March 2019.

He worked as a fitness instructor, then at Nissan and Nutrafarms as a successful salesman in London, Ontario.

Jacob loved his family. He especially loved fishing with his Grandpapa and pedal boating with his Grandma at their cottage in Temagami. At home he enjoyed swimming in the family pool, movie nights with mom and long talks with his dad. He loved to cook for his family and always had his dog Hugo by his side. He enjoyed family gatherings at his Nanny and Papa’s home. He looked up to his brother Scott and greatly treasured their relationship.
