It is with heavy hearts that the siblings of Anika Ashley Copegog announce her passing. Anika's beautiful, loving spirit traveled on to the spirit world on March 7th, 2022 at the age of 35 years old. Anika was born the youngest of four siblings, Kirkland (Cheryl), Sonya, Anthony (Megan). She grew up the youngest of 8 siblings, Shelley (Rick), Lynn (Leo), Laura, David, Nicholas, Amy, Anthony (Megan). Anika's spirit joined those of her sister Dawn-Marie, her Mother Anita Emeline Copegog, her parents David & Diane Forget, and her grandparents Lawrence and Audrey Copegog.
In her short time in this world, she blessed our family and this world with her light, ever loving spirit and beautiful children, Wesley Lawerence, Mia Marie, Faith-Audrey, Kadijah-Sage, Amina-Cedar. Anika will be remembered with love by her Aunt Georgette (Peter), Aunt Arlene (Wayne), Uncle Larry (Kathy) and Uncle Aubrey, along with her many cousin's and friends and with a special fondness by her daughter's father Abdullah Ibrahim. After services in Toronto, Anika will be brought home to rest on Christian Island with a final procession on Sunday March 20th.
Wake services will be held Sunday evening between 7pm-9pm with a final funeral service to be held on Monday March 21st at 1pm, after which she will be laid to rest in the Christian Island United Church cemetery with her Mother's and Grandparents. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to The Niijii Fund or to Addiction Service Agencies in your community.
