With heavy hearts, we announce the unexpected passing of Alcide “Charlie” Joseph Charlebois at Georgian Bay General Hospital on Monday, April 24, 2023 in his 82nd year.
Survived by his wife of almost 50 years, Shirley Charlebois (nee York), their children; Faye West (Paul), Tracy Lavallée (the late Dennis), Buddy Charlebois and his daughter Marie Charlebois (Bryen). Papa to Jacqueline McGee (Lawson), Dalton Lavallée, Mackenzie Lavllée, Lisa Wise and Colleen Wise. Great-grandfather to Aubree and Preston. He will be dearly missed by his sister Cecile Ball (the late Art) and by his brother Leo Charlebois (Fernande). Charlie is predeceased by his parents Horace and Estelle Charlebois and by his siblings Morris Charlebois (survived by Joan), and Anita Forcier (the late Paul).
Cremation has taken place.
A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at 2:30 p.m. on Friday, April 28, 2023, St. Margaret’s Catholic Church, 589 Hugel Avenue, Midland. A Celebration of Life will be held at the Midland Legion, 196 Queen Street, Midland, after Mass. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the Canadian Cancer Society of Heart & Stroke Foundation are greatly appreciated.
