After a long battle with leukemia, Elenor Brunelle passed away on Sunday April 9th, 2023 with her children by her side.
Elenor was the eighth out of 10, born to Marie (nee Belcourt) and Clement Robitaille on February 6, 1940. Devoted wife of the late Leo Brunelle, proud mother of Lisa and Greg. Loving grandmother to John (Britney) and Todd (Lindsay) and great grandmother to Grant and Ethan. Elenor grew up on "the mountain" in Midland and as a young ambitious woman attended Midland Business College and accepted a position with the Workers Compensation Board in Toronto.
Coming home to attend a wedding, Elenor met Leo and married six months later. She raised her family with him in Pickering, Ontario and pursued her realtor license and a party rental business. Elenor was a supportive influencer to her family and will always be remembered for her quiet intelligence and smile.
A visitation will take place on Wednesday, April 12th from times 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Penetanguishene Funeral Home. A funeral mass will take place on Thursday, April 13th at 2 p.m. at St. Ann’s Church with reception to follow. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations be made in memory of Elenor to the Diabetes Association or the Canadian Cancer Society.
