November 11, 1938 ~ July 12, 2021 (age 82)
After a lengthy illness, is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Theresa Philomene Belcher on Monday, July 12, 2021 at her residence, in her 83rd year. Predeceased by her beloved husband Lorne K. Belcher (2017). Theresa is survived by her children; Debbie Toebes (Peter), Keith (Shawna), Lorraine Ladouceur (Basil), and Kevin (Marie). Cherished grandmother to Stacey, Holly, Jessica, Megan, Sherilyn, Kelly and Matthew. Great-grandmother to Nicholas, Chanel, Jessalyn, Jasper, Halo, Elizabeth, Samuel, Frances, Elliot and Dawsyn. Great Great-grandmother to Hazel. Predeceased by her sister Arlene and brother Gerald (survived by Rita), Theresa will be fondly remembered by her sisters-in-law Edna, Beryl and Barb. She will be dearly missed by Christine and family, Tina and family, her extended family and friends.
A devoted caregiver, having worked many years as a PSW at the Villa Care Centre where she was often referred to as “Mother Theresa.” Mom loved to play bingo and go out for lunch with friends and family. She was active in all the social activities at the apartment building where she resided and will be missed by her friends and neighbors.
Thank you to the nurses at dialysis for their kindness over the years and to Dr. Veall for assisting the family with support.
Cremation has taken place. A private service will be held at a later date. Memorial donations to the Ontario Dialysis Centre, Penetanguishene are greatly appreciated.
