Passed peacefully at Barrie Manor at the age of 81. After a battle with dementia.

Daughter of the late Tom and Nancy (Beatty) McMahon. Jo-Anne was predeceased by her sisters Elaine and Marilyn. She is survived by her sisters Janice (Andy), Karen (Brian) and Patsy (Fred). She spent her early years in the Nipissing area until moving to Ajax Ontario, while attending Ajax High School JoAnne met and later Married Stanley Roy Bastedo, September 1961 for 61 years of marriage, they went on to have 3 children, Edwina (Joe), Elizabeth, and Constance (Gerry). Grandmother to Christina (Jordan), Joseph (Errin), Jamie (Emily), Justin, Vanessa, Robert (Ashlea), and Jessica. Great grandmother to Alice and Anderson.

Jo-Anne survived childhood Polio and went on to become a Registered Nurses Assistant. After moving to Midland, she started her 25-year career at the original Saint Andrews Hospital here in Midland then moved to the newer HDH, where she retired at age 60. Jo-Anne was a very caring person who loved to knit, sew, cottage and camp. She will be missed for the annual Christmas cake baking every year with her sisters and grandchildren. And greatly missed by her loving husband Stanley.

Memorial visitation will be held at the Nicholls Funeral Home on Saturday, June 24, 2023 from 12:00-2:00 with a remembrance service at the funeral home at 2:00.
