Robert Joseph Atkinson passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on June 24th, 2021 at 11:11 a.m. at Tomkins House Hospice Huronia in his 79th year. Loving husband to Audrey Atkinson. Father to Kimberly (Michael) and Christina (Dave). Granddad to Jamie, Jonathan, Nathan, Alysha and Owen. Predeceased by his parents, William and Patricia Atkinson. Robert put his heart into everything he did and was a perfectionist. He was a Queens Scout and was also a Canadian guard in Ottawa for 3 years. After he retired, he was a volunteer fire captain for the North Kawartha Fire Department. He took great pride in taking care of his 106 acres of heaven on earth.
He was a dedicated Christian who put his faith in the lord. He will be dearly missed by his loved ones. Special thanks to the North Simcoe Muskoka Community Care team and the nurses at Tomkins House Hospice Huronia. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Tomkins House Hospice Huronia. A private family visitation will be held. Arrangements entrusted to Penetanguishene Funeral Home.
