NEWS RELEASE
MIDLAND CURLING CLUB

Feb. 24 is Curling Day in Canada.

The Midland Curling Club will be bringing the community together for events running all day. Events include a mini-bonspiel, Canada’s Big Shootout, skills challenge, Discover Curling open house with pizza and pop, and much more.

The afternoon will include a tailgate event in the parking lot between 2 and 4 p.m. including our local fire department. Bounce 104.1 radio will be there with giveaways, and Grounded Coffee will have hot chocolate available. The tailgate event is in support of CLH Foundation and Bridging the Gap. This specific initiative is in recognition of the additional pressures created by the pandemic for members of the CLH Supported Independent Living program. Drop by the curling club with a food or cash donation and enter to win prizes.

Graeme Jay, president Midland Curling Club: “We are very excited about the number of events we have planned for national Curling Day. We have something for everyone during our all-day event. The club is opening their doors to welcome the community. We hope you can come out and enjoy the day with us and discover curling as well as support CLH Foundation and Bridging the Gap.”

For additional Information regarding the event, contact Graeme Jay at 705-529-5305 or visit midlandcurlingclub.com.
