TOWN OF PENETANGUISHENE

This notice has been issued by the Town of Penetanguishene to inform you that the intersection of Burke Street and Fox Street will be closed on Thursday, Aug. 26 and Friday, Aug. 27, 2021.
The closure of this intersection is required for emergency watermain repairs, infrastructure upgrades and resurfacing of the intersection. Please click here to view the Traffic Control Plan, labelled Intersection Closure, Fox and Burke.
In addition to the intersection closure, a water service interruption will occur for Burke Street, from Fox Street to Chatham Street from approximately 8 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 26, 2021 until completion of works. This water service interruption is required to replace a faulty mainline valve at the intersection of Fox and Burke Street.
When the water service resumes you may experience a slight discoloration in the water for a short period of time. We ask that you please remove the screens from your faucets and open all taps for approximately 5-10 minutes to remove any air and to flush your plumbing system.
