Bayfield House knitters help keep GBGH moms, babies warm and cozy

Penetanguishene facility's knitting group recently donated blankets, booties, mitts and sweaters to hospital foundation

The Georgian Bay General Hospital Foundation received an early Christmas gift from the Bayfield House knitting group, which donated a number of cozy items for the hospital's new mothers and babies.

"We were thrilled to offer a blanket to new parents Jocelyn and David, who shared that their son Kayden loves it already!" the foundation noted, adding a special thank you to Judy and Bea for all their time and effort.

All totalled, the group donated about 15 blankets, and an assortment of booties, mitts and sweaters.

Based in Penetanguishene, Bayfield House is always looking for volunteer knitters. If you would like to join, or if you have ‘four weight worsted yarn’ that you’d like to donate to the knitting group, please contact Donna Rowlandson at (705) 427-3164.
