MidlandToday welcomes letters to the editor at [email protected] or via our website. Please include your daytime phone number and address (for verification of authorship, not publication). The following letter is written by a frustrated pet owner, as if communicated by the dogs.

I’m writing this on behalf of my family pets.

I’m a four-year-old Rottweiler mix and I'm a one-year-old English Mastiff mix.

We love our human family; we have a fairly strict routine. However, a week ago, our humans turned the clock back one hour.

Since then our routine has been really mixed up.

We used to go out at 6 a.m. Then get a treat, mom would come home from work at 5 p.m. Since the change, we sit at the front door for a hour waiting for her since the clock change.

Dinner is an hour later, evening walk is an hour later. We don’t understand what is happening.

Do the people who make these decisions care about us?

We wish the time would go back and our routine could return to normal.
