Dear Editor,

The SS Keewatin is still an amazing steam ship.

I took a tour of it seven, eight years ago and it blew me away. As a young lad, I got to shovel coal into a steamship boiler, while getting it ready for winterization.

I would like to personally thank the numerous volunteers that must have poured their hearts and souls into turning this historical work of art into such a treasure.

It must have been heartbreaking to see it go!

This past weekend, I joined thousands, lining the Welland Canal, from end to end, to catch a glimpse of her as she was towed by.

She is now in good hands at McKeil Marine, these guys saved Theodore Tugboat, and the Kee will look spectacular when she docks in Kingston, in large part, because of you volunteers in Port McNicoll.

I thank you again, well done, your efforts will not be forgotten!
