A spate of thefts from vehicles in north Simcoe has police reminding people to “lock it or lose it.”
Southern Georgian Bay OPP officers have responded to “several” calls recently about personal property being stolen during the day and night from unlocked vehicles parked at victims’ homes.
“These types of thefts can also lead to fraud investigations where the victim’s credit has been used to commit further crimes,” police said in a news release.
Residents are urged to remove valuable items such as wallets and purses and to lock their vehicles.
