Police are investigating a single-vehicle crash that occurred early Friday morning in Tiny Township.
At about 2:30 a.m., an automated detection notification alerted Southern Georgian Bay OPP to a collision near Marshall and Downers roads. The vehicle had crashed into a field, but no occupants were found. The OPP Central Region Canine Unit and Emergency Response Team were called in to search.
A 31-year-old Barrie man was found at about 4:20 a.m. and was determined to be the only occupant of the vehicle when it crashed.
Police began an impaired driving investigation and are awaiting forensic test results.
