Oro-Medonte man facing child pornography charges

Charges laid after police seize several electronic devices from residence; FBI was involved in the arrest, say OPP

An Oro-Medonte man is facing child pornography charges after police executed a search warrant.

The warrant was executed at a residence by the OPP Child Sexual Exploitation Unit, with the assistance of Orillia OPP, the Digital Forensics Unit and the Federal Bureau of Investigation. Police seized several electronic devices.

Andrew Bertan, 55, has been charged with two counts of possession of child pornography and one count of making child pornography available.

The accused has a Feb. 20 court date in Orillia.
