Midland woman faces drug, weapon charges

As a result of an ongoing investigation on June 15 at a Playfair Avenue, Tay Township residence, members of the Southern Georgian Bay OPP with the assistance of the OPP Community Street Crime Unit seized a quantity of street drugs, Canadian currency and drug paraphernalia.

As a result of this investigation, a quantity of fentanyl, cocaine, methamphetamine, prescription pills along with Canadian currency and drug trafficking paraphernalia was seized.

Charged in relation to this investigation is Jennifer Bouckhuyt, 37, of Midland with the following offences:

  • Possession for the purpose of trafficking (opioid, fentanyl)
  • Possession for the purpose of trafficking (cocaine)
  • Possession of a Schedule 1 substance (methamphetamine)
  • Breach of recognizance (three counts)
  • Possession property obtained by crime under $5,000
  • Possession of weapon for dangerous purpose (three counts)

The accused was held for bail court and will appear at a later date before the Ontario Court of Justice.
