Kingston man arrested for causing disturbance in Tay

Suspect fled scene before police arrived but was arrested the next day in Midland

A Kingston man has been arrested following an incident Thursday at a Seventh Avenue residence in Tay Township.

Southern Georgian Bay OPP officers responded to the report of a man causing a disturbance, but the suspect fled before police arrived.

Police determined the 37-year-old man was from Kingston and had ties to Simcoe County. He was arrested Friday afternoon at a King Street business in Midland.

The accused is in custody awaiting a bail hearing.

Police said further information will be provided when it is available.
