An e-bike operator showing signs of impairment before even attempting to mount his ride was the subject of a call for service on May 31 at 4:34 p.m.

Officers located the suspected individual on Martha Street in Victoria Harbour and entered into a drinking and driving investigation.

As a result, Tyler Joseph Lithgow, 39, of Tay Township, has been charged criminally with operation while impaired (alcohol) and was released on an recognizance to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice on June 16 and also faces a driver’s licence suspension as per the Ministry of Transportation guidelines.

If you see a possible impaired driver or operator, “make the call” and dial 911 and help prevent a marine or roadway tragedy.
