Drunk driver sentenced to five years in deadly summer crash

A Bradford man has received a five-year sentence for impaired driving causing the death of another Bradford man in 2022.

Johnathon Harrington, 29, pleaded guilty in Bradford court on March 21, 2023, to charges of Impaired Driving Causing Death and Fail to Stop After Accident.

On July 16, 2022, at approximately 12:20 a.m., a 32-year-old Bradford man riding a motorcycle was struck and killed after being rear-ended by a vehicle on Holland Street.

Harrington was sentenced to five years in jail minus pre-sentence custody, which means he will serve approximately three years and seven months. The judge also imposed a seven-year driving prohibition.
