Cash, liquor stolen in Midland restaurant break-ins

In one incident, OPP Central Region K-9 helped searched surrounding area for suspects

Members of the Southern Georgian Bay detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were dispatched at 2:14 a.m. on March 16, 2020 to a break and entry to the Arch Steakhouse and Tavern on Yonge Street, Midland. Unknown suspect(s) forcibly entered the secured and alarmed restaurant fleeing with a small quantity of liquor and cash.

Investigators were assisted at the scene by members of the OPP Central Region Emergency Response Team and the OPP Central Region K-9 who searched the surrounding area for the suspects.

Officers were also dispatched to the Burger Barr restaurant on King Street Midland after persons unknown forcibly entered the secured premises at 11:55 p.m. March 14, 2020 and again at 2:55 a.m. March 15, 2020 fleeing with a small quantity of cash.

Investigators are continuing their investigation reviewing video and scene evidence gathered by OPP Scenes of Crime (SOCO) officers.
