Teen stabbed on Toronto bus, man in custody, police say

Toronto police say a teenager is in life-threatening condition after being stabbed while riding on a city bus.

Const. David Hopkinson says police were called for reports of a stabbing on a Toronto Transit Commission bus around 2:15 p.m. Saturday.

He says there was some kind of altercation on the bus in the north end of the city that led to the incident.

Hopkinson says the teenager was rushed to hospital with serious injuries.

He says police have one man in custody.

Hopkinson says police believe there is no further threat to the public.
