Passed away peacefully at the Villa Care Centre on Wednesday March 27th, 2024, in his 97th year. Loving husband of late Mary Ruth (James), beloved father of Cathy Proulx (Germain), Susan Webb (Bernard Dupuis), and John Webb (Jacquelin). Cherished grandfather of Danielle, Stéfanie (Jake) and Robert (Sophie), great-grandfather of Jaxen. Dear brother of late Ken (Verna) Webb.
With Mary the “Love of His Life”, Dan settled in Midland to raise their family. A self-taught naturalist and avid birder, he and Mary frequented the trails at the Wye Marsh and Awenda Park, binoculars in hand, to enjoy the sights and sounds of nature.
The family wishes to thank the staff of Chartwell Tiffin for their support and care for the past eight years; you were his second family. Thanks also to the staff at the Villa Care Centre for your compassion in his final days.
A memorial service will be held Friday April 5th, 2024, 1pm at Nicholls Funeral home – 330 Midland Ave, Midland, Ontario. Donations can be made to the Wye Marsh Wildlife Centre or St. Paul’s United Church, Midland, if desired.
