Brian Jerome Walser passed peacefully on October 1st, 2023 at the Villa Care Centre in Midland. He leaves behind his wife Christine Pingle. Brian was predeceased by his first wife Nancy (nee Copegog), his parents Jerome and Olive Walser and his younger sister Gwen. He is survived by his elder sister Lynn (Bill) Verspagen and will be fondly remembered by countless nieces and nephews.
Brian was the loving father of Chris (Melissa), Ryan (Jill), Naomi (Gord), Nikki (Kat) and stepfather of Craig (Koren), Beth (Paul) and Brad (Lauren). Proud grandfather of Tatiana, Christian, Andrew, Gage, Jude, Elora, Anikka, Josh, Argo, Bodhi, Emory, Evie, Zoey, Olive and Rowan. Proud great grandfather of Ashlynn, Austin, Gracelyn, McKinley, Ophelia, and Lakyn. Brian's passions were sports and teaching - coaching is where those two met! He enjoyed being innovative and made learning joyful. He taught you to believe in yourself, a lifelong gift for those who learned from Brian. He was an avid gardener and volunteer who loved playing lacrosse, baseball, hockey, lawn bowling, golf, curling, shuffleboard and shooting pool.
Cremation has taken place. Donations in his memory can be made online to the Parkinson's Foundation or to We Are the Villagers, who provide financial assistance to families in need to assist children's participation in recreation, arts, and culture programs at.
A Celebration of Life will take place at the North Simcoe Sports & Recreation Centre (Upstairs) on Thursday, October 5th, from 4-7pm.
