It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Timothy John Twitchin on Thursday, January 11, 2024, at the age of 61 years with family by his side at Hospice Huronia.

Beloved husband of Madelaine of 24 years. Devoted father to Ashleigh; Amber (Ryan); Tyler (Tiffany); and TJ [Timothy John Jr.] (Kayla), loving grandfather of Dallas, RJ [Ryan Jr] and Freya.

Little baby brother of Pat (late Chuck) Lutz, Chris (Doug) Atkinson, Debbie (late John) Pilon; Son-in-law of Alde (Judy) Desrochers, Brother-in-law of Richard (Anita) Desrochers.

Pre-deceased by parents Ernest Michael Twitchin and Agnes Marie Smith (nee Dorion) and sister Marie (Harold) Wilson.

Tim will also be remembered by his many nieces, nephews, cousins extended family and friends.

January 11, 2024, was the hardest day our family has ever had to endure. On this day I lost my husband, my best friend, and my true love. I am truly blessed to have had Tim in my life as my soul mate.

We worked and played hard together loving every minute inseparable, hand in hand. I will forever cherish and hold dear to my heart the memories that we made and the life we built over our 24 years.

We have successfully brought together a family that truly loves, supports and protects one another. We are so very proud of them.

Honey, you are the best husband, father, grandfather and brother. You have provided, protected and given unconditional love. A true family man and we are forever grateful. You will be deeply missed.

Tim valiantly and quietly fought a 7-year battle with cancer. We are so sad that he is no longer with us, but grateful he is no longer in pain and is at peace.

Tim’s love of butchering began while in his teens at Meatland and finished as Meat Manager at Penetanguishene Foodland after 25+ years.

He loved gardening, cooking in the kitchen and the barbecue. He loved the Toronto Maple Leafs, a true fan through and through.

As per Tim’s wishes in place of a service, he would like his family and friends to have a drink for him on his 62nd Birthday March 8th.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations to be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or Hospice Huronia.

Arrangements entrusted to LeClair Cremation Centre.

Special thanks to Dr. Russell and the Oncology Team at RVH. The staff at Hospice Huronia who helped Tim live out his life in comfort and care.

Until our hearts meet again
