It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Marlene Smylie on Friday May 20, 2022, at the age of 64. Marlene passed at Tomkins House - Hospice Huronia, with her two sons by her side, after a long battle with cancer. She will be greatly missed by her two sons Ryan (Ellen) and Kevin, and will live on in her greatest joy, her grandson, Felix. Marlene reunites with her parents, Isadore and Clara, and her brother, Jules (Mary). Marlene is survived by her siblings Elizabeth, Helene (predeceased Jim), Leo, Elaine (Marcel) and Lionel (Joan). Marlene’s smile, sense of humour, and her positivity inspired much the same in many others, and will continue to do so in all who knew her.
Ryan and Kevin would like to thank all the wonderful staff at Tomkins House who made their mother’s last days as comfortable as they could be.
A private, family ceremony will be held. Memorial donations to Hospice Huronia would be appreciated by the family, if desired.
