20-Oct-1933 - 21-Oct-2023

Affectionately known as Pa to his extended family, this old banker lost interest and quietly slipped away just hours after his 90th birthday.

Beloved husband of Florence. Father of Debra (Sandy McNair), David and Janet Sharp (Cam Perry). Proud grandfather of Ryan, Madison (Raynor Vickers), Jonathon, Jacob, Lily, Kristen and Grant plus great grand-dogs Ruth, Ralph, Sammy, Madge and Maude.

Keith was born in Belleville, Ontario and attended Brighton High School and Belleville Business College. He started his career with the Imperial Bank in Brighton, Ontario 1952. He met the love of his life, Florence Watson, in 1953 when he was transferred to Binbrook. They were married in 1955 and he proceeded to take his growing family on a 30 plus year tour of Southern Ontario living in Belleville, Lindsay, Milton, Chatham, Oakville, New Hamburg, St. Catharines and Burlington before he took early retirement from CIBC to pursue some entrepreneurial endeavours.

Keith's family members and friends benefited from the skills he developed in home maintenance and repair over the years. He endeavoured to pass this knowledge on, with limited success. With joy, he undertook their painting, papering, tiling and gardening projects.

When Florence eventually retired from banking too, they completed their move to the Midland area. They spent a happy decade living at Tiny Beaches before moving into town.

Keith loved meeting people and developed friendships which he cherished and maintained often for decades, no matter where they moved. He enjoyed his few pre-Covid years at the condo on Aberdeen Blvd, especially the weekly happy hours. During his final year, he developed deep attachment for several of his caregivers at the Villa in Midland. The family is very grateful for their kindness and dedication.

A private celebration of life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to Parkinson Canada or the Sunnybrook Foundation, Odette Cancer Centre.
