Paul Joseph Scully, 73, of Midland, Ontario, passed away on February 17th, 2024, after a brief illness related to his struggles with cancer.

Paul is predeceased by his father, Peter, mother Elizabeth (nee Armstrong), brother Lorne (Sarah), and sisters Annie and Cathy (Vic). He is survived by his brothers Stephen (Alice), Luke (Jan) and Frank (Elisé), sister Theresa (Jim), his longtime wife and friend Patricia (nee Armstrong), children Tara, and Ryan (Ingrid), grandchildren Taylor, Violet, Lloyd and Calvin, best friend Al, his many cousins, nieces and nephews as well as the many friendships he held dear throughtout his life.

Paul was born on April 3, 1950 in Peterborough Ontario, into a very active household. He was born the fifth of eight siblings who were not only a close loving family, but each others best friends and support system.

Growing up, he had a talent for fixing and assembling almost anything and also had an incredible passion for knowledge. Naturally, he went on to pursue a career in the machining trade and he went on to become a very hard-working and successful tool and die maker. His career spanned 50 years from which he retired in 2019 from Elcan in Midland. He truly loved his work.

Paul was always full of adventure with a contagious laugh that lightened and filled the room. He loved traveling, the great outdoors, cards and board games, golfing, fishing, reading, spending time with his beloved grandchildren, as well as listening to countless genres of music. He was brave, lived life on the edge and to the fullest and created many wonderful memories.

As per his wishes, a Celebration of Life will be held at a later date, in the spirit of an "Irish Wake". In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in his name to Hospice Huronia - Tomkins House, who made his last days as comfortable as possible for himself and his loved ones.
